Message it, along with an otherwise stock exhaust. This is my point of reference loudness-wise. Later I ditched both cats and replaced them with SpecialtyZ 3" DP and 3>2.5 TP with a resonator.

In the spectrum of exhausts, I'd say this is on the quiet side-- you're not going to set of car alarms, wake your neighbors, cause dogs to howl--if you accelerate from a stop in the way most people do. On the other hand, if you doing a burnout or otherwise trying to make a spectacle, it will be loud but fail to meet your 'mile away' example.

When I drive I rarely listen to music so I'm nearly always exposed to my car's exhaust note. I am not at all a fan of loud exhausts when running at speed. I think the LaBree is satisfactory in this regard, although there may be a very low level drone in it that I've simply become oblivious to. The only condition that I notice an exhaust drone is on long interstate highway climbs, like on mountain passes. The variable here, of course, is the increased engine load from climbing, which on the flat might be the equivalent of a constant 90 to 100 mph. About the fastest I run long distance on the flat is 75 to 80 mph and I do not notice the exhaust, which is not to say that you wouldn't since you are used to the Genie.

I've never heard a Genie but I gather they are among the quietest in the performance realm. If quiet is your uppermost goal, there is a fair chance you will not like the Labree. Because how exhausts sound can never be accurately described or presented in sound clips, my recommendation is that you find someone with this exhaust to listen to. Then you can make an informed purchase decision.
